I work with adults (18+) from diverse backgrounds and stages of life, addressing a range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, and challenges in relationships or work. With my extensive experience, I focus on helping individuals better understand themselves, improve emotional well-being, and cultivate meaningful change in their lives.
I am collaborative, non-judgmental, and non-pathologizing. I work hard to understand each person’s suffering in the broader context of their life experiences. My approach is rooted in understanding how your present concerns relate to your life from birth to now. For more details about how I work, I encourage you to read the My Approach To Therapy page.
At this time, I offer individual therapy only. However, for other therapists and mental health professionals, I also provide supervision/consultation, as well as an experiential training process group aimed at professional and personal growth. For more details, please refer to the Services For Therapists page.
With my extensive experience helping people navigate personal and professional challenges, I understand the unique pressures that come with balancing work, relationships, and other responsibilities. Whether it’s managing work stress, navigating relationship difficulties, or handling academic pressures, I offer a supportive and attuned space where we focus on what’s most important to you. My goal is to help you become more attuned to your inner life and support you in finding personal and professional solutions that truly work for you.
While subscription-based therapy services may offer convenience and accessibility, they don’t always provide the depth of care that comes from working with a more advanced and experienced clinician. With years of experience as a psychologist in a hospital clinic, I have successfully treated a wide range of complex issues, continually refining my skills to meet the unique needs of each individual. I am deeply committed to ongoing training and growth to ensure that my clients receive the highest level of care. In my small private practice, I thoughtfully assess whether I am the right fit for each person, ensuring that I can offer meaningful support tailored to their needs.
Yes, I take a limited number of insurances to ensure that people have access to good mental healthcare. I am in-network with Aetna, Highmark BCBS, and Medicare. I also offer out-of-network services, and I can provide a superbill for reimbursement. However, I strongly encourage you to read the Insurance information section on my website for more information about coverage, deductibles, and co-pays. It’s also important to check with your insurance company to confirm coverage and any potential out-of-pocket costs before beginning therapy.
If you are interested in working together, the first step is to schedule a consultation. This allows us to discuss your current challenges, answer any questions, and explore if we are a good fit. You can contact me through the form on my website or via my Psychology Today page.
In the first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brings you to therapy. This is an opportunity for you to share your goals and concerns, and for me to begin learning how I can help. Together, we will also outline how to move forward in therapy and discuss practical matters such as scheduling, fees, and what you hope to achieve.
Yes, I offer both in-person and virtual sessions depending on your preference and location. Virtual sessions are especially convenient for professionals or students with busy schedules or those not local to Philadelphia. I am also a member of PSYPACT, which allows me to work virtually with individuals residing in or located in PSYPACT-participating states.
PSYPACT is an interstate compact that allows licensed psychologists to legally and ethically provide telepsychology services across state boundaries without needing separate licensure in each state. As of October 7, 2024, there are 42 states participating. Being a PSYPACT member makes it easier for me to offer telepsychology to clients in these states, increasing accessibility regardless of where you are located.
